Charity Appeals Ramadhan 2015

Multiple Charity Appeals in Ramadhan 2015 raise over £20K at Masjid At-Taqwa

Over the month of Ramadhan, Masjid At-Taqwa hosted 11 different charity appeals, raising money for a broad spectrum of organisations.

Over £20,000 was raised – mainly in cash donations collected on the day.

This Ramadhan, Masjid At-Taqwa ensured that the appeals it hosted reflected local, national and international needs. A breakdown of the key collections, charities and amount collected is shown below:-

   Syria, via Masjid Taybah Iftar Programme link £3,890.18
   Zakat for distribution in the UK link £2,485.00
   Hole in the heart operations (for children) in Africa link £3,872.40
   Yemen crisis link £2,836.75
    TOTAL 22,879.05


In addition to the above charity appeals, several thousand pounds in donations was raised for a new Masjid in Oldham and also for Masjid At-Taqwa.

Masjid At-Taqwa extends its gratitude and thanks to all those who have contributed towards any of the appeals shown and sincerely hopes your support remains persistent and prevalent throughout the year.

For all those facing difficulties, trials and hardships we pray and ask Allah to ease your suffering and bless you with His Mercy wherever you may be.
